CLOUD PACKAGING EQUIPMENT – PRIMARY PACKAGING
Since 1929 Cloud Packaging Equipment has been providing packaging solutions for the Horizontal Form Fill and Seal (HFFS) industry. Since inventing the first high-speed, continuous-motion HFFS pouching machine, Cloud continues to set the standard for the high-speed pouch packaging industry. Cloud also has a wealth of operational and production experience derived from our own contract packaging facilities. This experience is reflected in the functional and ergonomic designs that are integral to all of our packaging systems.
ServOriginal™
The ServOriginal™
is a high performance servo machine featuring software motion control
with SERCOS communications for accurate and precise web and product handling.
Familiar PLC logic for digital I/O control. The fully featured operator's
panel makes the system easy to use with detailed diagnostics, help screens,
and online user's instruction manual. Future flexibility and growth are
assured with the ability to modify "hard-coded" software of machine configuration.
- Speeds up to 5000 linear inches of film per minute
- High volume production applications
- Multi-axis, all-servo control system
- Flexible product feed systems to accommodate powders & pieces
Performa™
Performa™, Cloud's newest model, is a continuous motion HFFS system that
effectively meets the requirements of applications where mid-range speed
and volume are the ultimate criterion. This model evolved from Cloud's
high-speed, full-featured, all-servo pouch machines.
- Speeds up to 2750 linear inches of film per minute
- Flexible product feed systems to accommodate powders & pieces
- Multi-axis, all-servo control system
- Smaller foot-print machine
- Intermediate volume applications
- Moderate pricing
FLEXIBLE FILLER FEATURES
Blending can be accomplished right at the filler by feeding multiple components into the same pouch. Alternate flavor fill is also possible with the capability of filling a different product in successive pouches. Taking alternate fill a step further, asymmetrical pouches can be filled with significantly different products and volumes. Pouches as wide as 6 ½" can be paired with a pouch as narrow as 2 ½", subject to evaluation.SOLUBLE FILM TECHNOLOGY
PVA continuous motion drum technology is used to form water soluble materials
(polyvinyl alcohol) at speeds in excess of 1000 pouches per minute. Thermoforming
the bottom film results in material savings typically 30 to 40 percent above
a traditional vertical form fill seal machine. Liquid and powder filling
capabilities are available.
